Somabay Unveils its Newly Expanded Marina, Marking a New Era of Red Sea Luxury

A Major Milestone Elevating the Red Sea’s Yachting and Lifestyle Experience

Egypt – July 2026: Somabay Group, one of the most prominent tourism destinations on the Red Sea coast, has announced the official inauguration of its Marina following its redevelopment and expansion, marking the culmination of years of strategic planning and setting a new benchmark for yachting and hospitality experiences in the region.

The new marina is the result of a partnership between global and local expertise throughout the project’s phases; the British company Benoy created the master plan and architectural design, while EHAF Consulting Engineers supervised the detailed design and technical documents, and EDECS implemented the marine infrastructure within the second phase of the expansion. This brings the total size of the marina after the expansions to about 71,600 cubic meters, raising its capacity to 260 luxury yachts.

The project aims to reintroduce the marina in a way that enhances its urban and functional integration, while maintaining its distinctive architectural identity and its function as a main hub for marine activities and services within Somabay.
The marina is not limited to being a yacht mooring; rather, it represents an integrated destination that includes a vibrant tourist promenade, high-end residential units, and specialized facilities for yachts and marine activities. This is alongside a selected group of restaurants and shops, amidst views that extend between the waters of the Red Sea and the surrounding desert mountains.
