Hanaa Garana: KEF Exports to Arab and African Markets and Expands Product Portfolio
Kitchen Equipment Factory (KEF), a subsidiary of Garana Group, has expanded its locally manufactured portfolio to more than 400 products across kitchen, restaurant, hotel, and hospital equipment. This growth follows the company’s strategic shift toward local manufacturing since 2019, while it continues to develop new products that enhance the competitiveness of Egyptian industry in international markets.
Hanaa Garana, Chairwoman of Kitchen Equipment Factory (KEF), said the company continues to strengthen its presence in the professional kitchen equipment market, supported by a robust industrial base focused on manufacturing stainless steel products in line with global standards, alongside ambitious plans for both local and international expansion in the coming phase.
She explained that the company is working to deepen local manufacturing and provide high-quality domestic alternatives, aiming to reduce the import bill while opening new channels for exporting Egyptian products to global markets.
She added: “Over the past eight years, Kitchen Equipment Factory (KEF) has consistently focused on developing its products and introducing new ones that compete with imported alternatives in both quality and price. Today, we have reached 400 products, and we are working to expand this number further in the coming period.”
Exporting Products to Africa and Arab Markets
Hanaa Garana added that the Kitchen Equipment Factory (KEF) plant has successfully built a wide export network covering Arab and African markets, noting that the current focus is on further external expansion by enhancing product quality and improving operational efficiency in line with international standards, in addition to expanding the local customer base.
She explained that the company relies on advanced production lines that enable the manufacturing of a wide range of equipment serving central kitchens, restaurants, and hotels.
She emphasized that KEF products are characterized by durability, long operational life, and modern designs that meet customer needs, in accordance with international standards.
Providing Integrated Solutions from Planning to Operation
Garana affirmed that one of the company’s key strengths lies in its ability to deliver fully integrated solutions for projects, starting from engineering design, passing through technical specification studies, and reaching full execution, including infrastructure networks and engineering supervision.
This approach provides clients with a comprehensive experience from planning to operation.
She added that the company relies on a team of specialized engineers capable of delivering precise consultancy studies in accordance with global kitchen codes, while fully adhering to quality and safety standards, particularly in ventilation systems and thermal equipment.
