*EDIC Developments unveils new strategic partnership, extending its success in Egypt’s real estate market*
EDIC Developments has announced its third strategic partnership within a short period, signing an agreement with LARYSA Developments to jointly develop THE ICON MALL in West Cairo.
The partnership reflects the two companies’ strategy of bringing together complementary real estate expertise and leveraging their respective technical, execution, and management capabilities to deliver a new project to Egyptian market.
The partnership follows EDIC’s strategic alliance with Zawaya Developments to launch SIA Boulevard, as well as its partnership with AZ Developments to launch CLAVEL. The company is continuing to announce new strategic partnerships, strengthening its position as a leading strategic real estate development company in West Cairo.
Dr. Amr Zaki, Chairman of EDIC Developments, said that alliances between strong players in real estate market are a key factor in delivering projects that create genuine value, particularly given the diverse expertise and specializations of each partner. This enables greater integration across the various phases of project development.
Zaki added that the partnership with LARYSA Developments is part of a strategy aimed at leveraging the strengths of both companies and developing a project that meets the needs of the market and customers.
He noted that THE ICON MALL benefits from a strategic location in New October, supporting its ability to provide a diverse range of services to the surrounding area and nearby residential developments.
Zaki further pointed out that the strong financial position of the companies involved will be key to ensuring timely project delivery while maintaining high execution standards, helping build customer confidence from the start of construction through to operations.
Dr. Amr Zaki noted that regulating the real estate market is an important step toward maintaining the sector’s strength and ensuring sustainable growth, highlighted that clear rules and regulations can support serious companies with strong financial standing and industry experience, while protecting customer rights and strengthening confidence in Egypt’s real estate market.
He added that THE ICON MALL is a mixed-use commercial and medical project strategically located in New October, West Cairo. The project is designed to provide a range of services and activities catering to the needs of residents and customers in the area, capitalizing on its strategic location and the area’s ongoing urban expansion and growing demand for integrated services.
For his part, Alaa Hanafy, Chairman of LARYSA Developments, said that the company chose EDIC Developments as its partner in THE ICON MALL based on its strong track record and experience in developing mixed-use projects.
He added that successful real estate investment requires partners with the expertise and capabilities to turn real estate assets into viable and sustainable investments.
Hanafy explained that the partnership model for the project goes beyond cooperation between EDIC and LARYSA, extending to a number of specialized entities selected to participate in the project’s development, operations, and marketing. This approach is intended to ensure that each component of the project is managed by specialists with relevant expertise.
The project has partnered with Medical Algorithm to serve as the medical operator for the healthcare component of THE ICON MALL, reflecting the importance of specialized expertise in managing and operating medical activities and ensuring that services meet the standards appropriate for the sector. GP will serve as the project’s general operator, while P2B Real Estate will handle project marketing. The project is also working with IEC as its engineering consultant, he said.
Hanafy pointed out that the selection of these entities is based on a shared vision between EDIC and Larissa to work with partners that have the expertise, specialization, and capabilities required to carry out their respective roles, supporting the integration of the project’s various components from development through to operations.
LARYSA Developments’ chairman disclosed that this partnership model reflects a growing trend in the real estate market toward specialization and the integration of expertise, which are key factors in improving the efficiency of mixed-use projects and creating tangible value for customers and investors.
THE ICON MALL aims to offer an integrated mixed-use development combining commercial, administrative, and medical activities, supported by a group of specialized partners in operations, marketing, and engineering consultancy. This approach supports the companies’ objective of delivering a promising project that responds to market needs in West Cairo and New October.
