Kleek Developments inks management agreement with global IHG for Crowne Plaza New Cairo

Kleek Developments has signed an agreement with IHG Hotels & Resorts for the management of Crowne Plaza New Cairo, a 250-room hotel located in Sixth Settlement. The hotel is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2031.

He added that Crowne Plaza New Cairo has been designed to meet the evolving needs of modern travelers, offering flexible spaces that allow guests to move seamlessly between work, meetings, and leisure.
The hotel will feature the brand’s signature “Plaza Workspace” concept, which reimagines the traditional hotel lobby through dedicated spaces designed to meet guests’ personal and professional needs.
It will also include a “WorkLife Room,” offering separate areas for working, relaxing, and sleeping, providing guests with comfort, flexibility, and seamless connectivity throughout their stay.
He noted that Crowne Plaza New Cairo is located within a mixed-use development area undergoing rapid growth, positioning the hotel as a key destination serving the needs of businesses, commercial activities, and growing residential communities in East Cairo.
With continued investment in infrastructure, population growth, and rising demand from local and international companies, New Cairo has become one of Egypt’s fastest-growing areas, according to Dawoud.
He added that the hotel is planned to feature a variety of rooms and suites, along with four diverse food and beverage outlets, including an all-day dining restaurant offering a range of culinary experiences, a specialty restaurant, a lobby lounge, and a beverage bar.
He further pointed out that the hotel will also offer six dedicated meeting and event spaces, including meeting rooms and a ballroom, enabling guests to host a wide range of occasions, from business meetings and planning sessions to special events. Guests will also have access to a range of leisure and lifestyle facilities, including a swimming pool, fitness center, spa, and retail outlets.

The signing of the Crowne Plaza New Cairo agreement also comes as part of IHG’s ongoing efforts to expand its presence in Egypt. The group currently operates 10 hotels in Egypt, while its development pipeline includes 28 hotels, underscoring Egypt’s growing importance as one of the group’s strategic growth markets.
