*Rock Developments celebrates graduation of the first ACC Program cohort in partnership with Sweden’s Helsjön Academy*

Rock Developments celebrated the graduation of the first cohort of its ACC educational and vocational training program, delivered in partnership with Sweden’s Helsjön Folkhögskola, following a full year of academic learning and hands-on training for young participants from different Egyptian governorates.
Throughout the year-long program, students took part in an educational experience based on learning by doing and working in small groups. The program included practical activities and projects in areas such as agriculture, carpentry, weaving, accessories making, and music, alongside studies in languages, mathematics, and science, as well as developing critical thinking and teamwork skills.
During the graduation ceremony, students presented a selection of the projects and practical experiences they had completed throughout the year, while sharing insights into their educational journey and the skills they gained during the program.
The program brought together students from various Egyptian governorates and featured trainers from leading European universities, reflecting the strong partnership between Rock Developments and Helsjön Folkhögskola.
Eng. Parthena Doss, Board Member at Rock Developments, said that the graduation of the first cohort marks the successful completion of a full year of the program.
She added that students had benefited from a well-rounded educational experience and demonstrated significant progress in key areas, including self-confidence, communication and self-expression, teamwork, and responsibility.
Doss noted that the educational experience was structured around small groups of no more than 16 students, allowing for direct interaction and individualized support.
The program also integrated practical activities and real-life experiences into the learning process, combining academic knowledge with hands-on application and creating a participatory learning environment designed to equip students to make a positive impact on their communities, she pointed out.
For his part, Mr. Peter Landgren, Educational Director of Helsjön Folkhögskola in Egypt, stated that the program successfully delivered a comprehensive educational experience that goes beyond the boundaries of traditional education.
He said that students demonstrated significant progress in critical thinking and analytical skills, while becoming more capable of taking responsibility and working effectively as part of a team.
Landgren added that the graduation ceremony featured presentations of the students’ projects and personal experiences, alongside success stories reflecting the program’s tangible impact on their lives.
He disclosed that these outcomes provide a strong foundation for expanding the program in the coming period.
Katja Beksir, a key figure behind the ACC program, said that the program stands apart from conventional education through its unique learning philosophy.
She noted that students are encouraged to express themselves and integrate their own experiences into the learning journey, creating a supportive environment that nurtures personal growth, confidence, and holistic development.
She explained that the graduation ceremony clearly reflected the transformation the students had undergone and their ability to confidently share their experiences and projects with the audience.
