المصرية للاتصالات وسيسكو تتعاونان لتشغيل سعات بحرية على نظام كابل 2Africa بالبحر المتوسط

أعلنت الشركة المصرية للاتصالات، الشركة الرائدة في مجال تقديم خدمات الاتصالات وتكنولوجيا المعلومات في مصر وأحد أكبر مشغلي الكابلات البحرية في المنطقة، عن تعاونها مع شركة سيسكو العالمية، الرائدة في مجال تقنية المعلومات والشبكات، لتشغيل سعات بحرية على نظام الكابل البحري 2Africa بالبحر المتوسط، وذلك باستخدام نظام تقارب الشبكات المتطور من سيسكو (NCS). ويمتد هذا الرابط البحري عالي السعة ليصل بين بورسعيد بمصر ومارسيليا بفرنسا مروراً بجنوة بإيطاليا، ما يعزز الاتصال الرقمي بين القارتين.
وتساهم هذه الخطوة في تطوير بنية تحتية للاتصالات قادرة على التعامل مع كميات هائلة من البيانات، تواكب النمو المتسارع في التقنيات الرقمية المتقدمة، مثل الذكاء الاصطناعي والخدمات السحابية، وذلك من خلال الاستثمار في أحدث تقنيات نقل البيانات عبر الكابلات البحرية التي تضمن تقديم الخدمات بسرعة وكفاءة. ويمثل هذا المشروع خطوة هامة نحو تعزيز مكانة المصرية للاتصالات كشركة اتصالات رائدة، والاستفادة من استثماراتها في كابل “2Africa” لتعزيز كفاءة الكابلات البحرية ورفع قدرات مسارات الاتصالات الدولية.
وسيتمكن هذا المشروع من تقديم خدمات نقل البيانات بسرعة وكفاءة عالية مع خفض استهلاك الطاقة، بفضل الاستعانة بنظام تقارب الشبكات المتطور من سيسكو (NCS)، الذي يتيح حلول تقنية لتحقيق أقصى استفادة من سعة الشبكة.
ويمتد الكابل البحري 2Africa طول ٤٥ ألف كيلومتر، ليصبح أكبر أنظمة الكابلات البحرية في العالم، حيث يربط بين أوروبا (شرقًا عبر مصر) وآسيا وأفريقيا.
